Our Story

Hello! We are Tuppenny House Designs, a creative studio based in the heart of the Essex countryside, making handmade and unique gifts to treasure forever.

Tuppenny House Designs is a small business, run by me - Isobel - and my husband, Jeff. I have had many years experience in the fashion and textile industry before we started Tuppenny House Designs in 2002. We wanted to design beautiful, textile gifts with a modern perspective, that would create a 'wow factor' for all occasions.

We have a love of traditional childrens books and toys, that has inspired our collections over the years. Combined with a passion for prints, colours and textures, this has given us a distinctive style that shines through into our designs.

Each item is handmade by us, with care and patience to make them extra special. Using fine quality cottons, linens and silks, we create truly unique gifts that will be treasured forever.
